God Bless you. I too had a similar story. I had diverticulitus went to the hospital for surgery to remove the diseased part of colon and reconnect. I did not feel well after the surgery could not eat and my stomach was swollen and very painful, yet the doc sent me home after 6 days. I was home one day when rushed back to the hospital for emergency surgery for a cholostomy. I was so sad, I had a very intense infection and leakage. I spent another 6 days in the hospital. A few days after arriving home I still could not eat, haD Pain and went to see the surgeron found out my wound from the firat surgery now was infected sot back to the hospital. Total of 23 days in the hospital. i* TOO lost weight, but I needed too. lol. I have been depressed, and my bag leaks. I dread going back to work next week as I am afraid I will offend sonmeone with the smell. I hope to have reconnection surgery soon. God bless you girl... my close friend recently underwent surgery for colon cancer and has a temporary bag in place.. I wanted to understand what she was dealing with therefore: I searched the web and found only your blog to be the most informative. You are a miracle and beautiful girl. Thank you for sharing your story .. your a strong person and remarkable person as not many people would share story and pictures.
